Our Lady of Guisborough,
I come to this place
shrouded in mystery,
to discover who I am;
and what God would have me be.
As I look upon your image
may I see myself your child.
As I look upon those I meet
may I see in them your Son.
I come to this place
mantled in prayer,
in the footsteps of saints and martyrs.
Take my prayers, weave them with yours;
use them to swaddle a broken world,
to bind up broken hearts, minds and bodies.
